We are Chiara and Carlo. We have always lived on the green hills of Roero.

Since we met, we have shared the same dream: creating a special place to offer those like us who love nature a well-kept and welcoming accommodation.

Today our dream has come true and has become reality: Il Bosco delle Torte is a small, fascinating bed and breakfast, which reflects our passion for beauty. It is set in an old house that has been standing for over two centuries.

Why did we choose such a fairy name?

Because this is precisely what the forest that expands on the hill visible from our house is called. It is an important destination for the locals who spend their free time there, organising happy jaunts and snacks.

Bed & Breakfast in a 19th-century house

The house where our "Il Bosco delle Torte" bed and breakfast is situated dates back to the early 19th century.

From the time of its construction, local peasant families have always lived there.

Today, the house keeps its classic rural appearance, despite the various renovations carried out over the years that tried to respect the volumes and the original appearance of the building.

The structure has two floors. We have taken care to preserve some original peculiarities of the dwelling, managing to enhance them.

By hiring the rooms of our bed & breakfast in Castellinaldo d'Alba, you will enjoy a peaceful stay in a welcoming environment equipped with all comforts.

Special features of our accommodation facility

On the ground floor of the house is a "crutin", which means cave in the local dialect of Piedmont.

It is an old underground structure excavated in the tuff and houses a cellar.

In the ancient stable characterised by the classic barrel vault with natural bricks, there is one of the two wells that was once used as a cistern for rainwater. It is visible through a glass insert in the floor.
